A Thought:

The church has lighted my way. Instead of struggling through a wilderness I have a road-a road to virtue and truth. Only a road-the road to an end, not the end itself-the road to truth, not the fullness of truth itself.... In one word, she as taught me how to seek God.
- Maude Dominica Petre
Catholic intellectual (1863-1942)

God, you are our protector and guide. No matter how frightened we are, send us your Holy Spirit that we might function out of hope and joy, not fear.
              Amen.

Week 6-The Amazing Challenge

Watch for the 6th week installment of the Amazing Challenge and continue to take the opportunity to journey through key passages of  Scripture that will empower, guide and build a firm foundation for your faith.

Participate each week, look for hidden opportunities for gift cards, but most of all take time to learn, pray and strengthen your faith.

Sunday, November 15
6pm Come join together for our annual
Blessing of the Animals. Please bring cats
or other small pets in crates to keep them
safe and keep dogs on leashes. If you do not want to
bring your pet- you can bring a photo of him/her.
We will still do a blessing for them. If you want to
remember a pet that has died, you may bring a photo
for the altar table and a special blessing will be offered.

ALL ARE WELCOME!

***See Terri S for information and to volunteer.***
Are you willing to share some time and volunteer
at the 2009 HEB Feast of Sharing on Tuesday,

600 volunteers are needed for this community event
that will serve a holiday dinner to more than 7,000
of our fellow Big Country residents. There will be
great food, live entertainment, games and Santa for
the kids, along with more than 30 service organizations

STRUCTURE REVIEW TEAM SURVEY

Everyone is invited to join the Fellowship's Structure Review Team in a Holy Conversation about our denominational structure and systems by completing a  survey. Our work would be incomplete without your voice. All of the information received from you through this survey will be carefully and respectfully considered. The Structure Review Team is committed to carrying forth the collective voice of MCC into our recommendations to the Board of Elders.

Please complete your response to this survey by November 28.
